I just installed CB to help manage my authors' profiles. Al also installed a plugin called ZakAuthor ZakAuthor to link Authors names on their articles to their profile.

Then I installed and enabled the CB plugin for Joomsef. yet links to each author shows up as:
www.SITE.com/index.php?option=com_compro...Profile&user=362

I manually created sef urls to something like
www.SITE.com/profile/author

This works in the address line but the links still resolve to the non-sef url.

How can I resolve this?

I baked up the jos_redirection database, changed something in the Joomsef configuration, and then restored the database. However, most of my old urls are showing 404s.

Is there a different way to restore the database?

The problem:
Artio Joomsef makes multiple calls to the current database, thereby creating loads of unnecessary\"SELECT DATABASE\" queries with every content item.

The Solution
A friend was able to apply a fix is applied to the joomsef.php file located in /components/com_sef/joomsef.php. The fix will prevent the code in this file from repeatedly querying to find out the current database.

I have attached the modified joomsef.php file to this post for those who are interested (remove the .txt extension at the end of the file)
