If there is no custom title or description in JoomSEF, will it revert to the meta data I have included on the content? ie: articles, virtuemart products etc.

I have just noticed that my site is using the global site Meta description for all Section and Category blog layouts. Even if I specify an alternative meta description in JoomSEF
How do I fix this?
Here is an example URL

I ended up calling ARTIO direct. I spoke with a tech support guy and he was very helpful. Turns out it is most likely a bug and we had to manually delete the cache.
I had tried the usual Clear Cache and Purge SEF URL's but this didn't work.
We had to go into Manage SEF URL's and select them all, manually deleting them from there.

This topic is quote old, but I am having the same issues.
I want to use JoomSEF titles for virtuemart, but not sitewide. If I select "Prefer JoomSEF Titles" under the configuration tab, will this override article and menu titles with the JoomSEF generated titles?

Every now and then JoomSEF causes the blog layout to change to a list / archive view, rather than the default blog view as specified by the menu layout.
Under Manage Extensions / Content I have tried both Default and Blog in the Default Layout configruration option.
Any ideas?
