Hi,

This problem has been existed for a long time (since 2.2.6 when I started to use this component).

The issue is that some of the pages has missing title and meta description.
For example:

homepage
www.domain.com
Company Name -domain.com

www.domain.com/en
Home - Company Name -domain.com

As you can see, the Home is missing. This applied to some of the 301 redirect pages including Virtuemart comp.

the result of this error create many pages which have the same title with no meta description

I am guessing it is the metabot however, i don't have any clue how to adjust it.

We are using cache in joomla

version 1.0.x

Any hints we can try, please.

I wanted to disable the index2 link in my site.

Prior to 2.2.6, I modified the Joomsef.php file (under /components/com_sef/)
around line 594:
I removed || (!strcasecmp(substr($newstring, 0, 10), 'index2.php'))

and it worked.

However, after 2.2.6 and now 2.2.8, it doesn't work anymore.

if i removed that portion of codes, the SEF doesn't work anymore.

do you have any other suggestion to disable the index2?

After upgrading to 2.2.7, when the page is cached. The page title is all gone now.

Here are some directions that may solve some of the problem:

1. the order of your input values such as
option, page, catid... etc

2. use the ignore var and the nosef var.


The first direction is to be done in your component files

The second direction is to be done in SEF ext plugin file eg. com_kunena.php

.. however, still dont' know some of the problems . for example....
index.php?lang=en&catid=0...

Fireboard plugin and Virtuemart Plugin (from Artio) are the two sources of many generated links.

I've asked them long time ago. The last possible solution is to \&quot;Provide them the backend access and they will take a look and try to solve the problem\&quot;.

It is not that easy for them to fix this huge problem since they are moving most of the resources to JoomSEF 3.0.

Sigh~~@@ don't know what to do now..

Check your
administrator\components\com_virtuemart\html\templates\product_details\flypage.php
or
\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\html\shop.product_details.php

I am wondering why the add to cart for each item is generated as an url?

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&amp;func=cartAdd
became something:
en/online-shop/cart/productXXXX.html

too many duplicated urls have been generated!

The Joomsef created some weird urls with VM ext.

I've used the latest one right now
2.2.6 + VM ext 1.1.3

the frontend store management has weird links
everything was generated something like

domain.com/online-shop-x.html?limitstart=0&amp;...

x = 1, 2, 3, 4.. so on

is there anyway to disable some certain var page ?
something like

if ($_GET('page'))
.......

actually it is okay if you go to the
configure: Ignore multiple sources and set to yes
and also set each component's itemid to the default one

In virtuemart browse page, the link to next page or previous page created duplicated limit=XX&amp;limitstart=XX.

it cause the page can't be loaded after 2nd page

in order to make the Artio works, you need to have Joomla SEF works first.

how to know if the joomla sef works

for example:
www.site.com/component/option,com_virtuemart/page,shop.search/

This one should come up with your Advanced Search page

make sure you have the htaccess file under
www.rickslivefood.co.uk/

you said you didn't touch. yape that is right. since you change the directory to an upper level the htaccess.

What was your previous config url?
what is the exsiting one?

what is your structure of your webserver? eg. /public_html/yoursite/......? or just /public_html/......

It seems the problem may be your htaccess file because it is an internal server error.

check if you have the .htaccess file under your server location.

We need the new Virtuemart Extension working with Joomfish.

The one we purchased from you recently doesn't work.
