Is it possible to edit or generate alt tag for images thrue Joomsef?

Or write a plugin for it which wil do it?

Alt tags are huge Seo boosters for images.

If Joomsef could program this, this would be a huge seosaver...

hmm, this seems to be kind of a good idea... however, wherefrom do you want to get the information what text should be put into the alt tag?
(from the surrounding text? - that might be quite inappropriate)
Or using the article keywords ... same for all images that do not have alt tags? Or usin the file name? There is quite a lot of possibilites, but none of them universal enough.

Anyway, we can certainly write such plugin for you or customize JoomSEF to do such thing.
But still I am not sure wherefrom to dig the data from to make the alt tags appropriate.
If you suggest a way how you would like it to work, we may consider it or make you a quote.

Btw. alt tag is a compulsory HTML entity so it should always be present. Therefore, this should be primarily filled in when inserting the image into the HTML.

Two years had been past and still don't have any development about alt tag generator? for me I really need such plugin? a plugin that can found the images without tag and fills this empty tag accourding to its title or allies? Is this to hard for airto :(
