I just purchased VM Invoice a few days ago, primarily so I can manually enter phone orders. For PDF invoices, I have been using ccVAOM and it works good and has some features that, if included in VM Invoice, would make VM Invoice the only component I would need. ccVAOM does the following that I would LOVE to see in VM Invoice:

-ability to download/view numerous different pdf invoices as one pdf file based on selections. With VMI, if I could check the box next to the invoice line and then hit one button that would make them all into a pdf file, that would be super. Currently, I use ccVAOM to do this so that I can batch print all the orders that I need to pull and ship.
-ability to batch change the order status. VM is clumsy with changing order status. with ccVAOM I can select all orders that have shipped, for example, then change the status to shipped and have it apply to all selected orders.
-Ability to customize the invoice template myself via a wysiwyg template page.

I actually contacted Chill Creations to see if they would consider adding manual order entry to ccVAOM and was told they "may" consider it at a future date but had other priorities and it may be a long time before they did it, if ever.

You guys could take the cake if you could combine the good things of ccVAOM with VM Invoice.

I can share a screen shot of ccVAOM if you have not seen it by chance.

Other things needed in VM Invoice
-ability to set defaults for vendor and currency
-ability to make it so that each product line takes on the status entered in the general section at the top

Please don't get me wrong! I really like VM Invoice for manual order entry. I just thought I would share some of my suggestions in order to help improve VM Invoice. I am very happy with my purchase and have already recommended it to a couple of friends with VM shops.

thanks for your tips for improvement. We appreciate those. Some of them are already planned and other we will gladly include to our TODOs.

This feature is already included. Or at least partially.
You can select multiple orders and then click the PDF button in the top toolbar. That will generate multiple invoices into a single PDF file.
We will also add option to download multiple seprate invoices as a .zip package.

As regards some of the other features most of them is already planned and will be added in some of the next VM Invoice versions.
This applies to:
- WYSIWYG for template layout editing
- batch status change

Good deal, Jan. It is nice to see that you guys at least take suggestions and possibly implement them. The reply I got back from the other guys was basically that they might do something someday but it was not something they were interested in developing.

I tried the multi-select and create PDF but it did not work at the time. I will have to give it a go again. What you said happens is more than enough. I would not have the need for a zip file. I would just like to have a pdf file with everything in it that I can then just print with one click. Sounds like it will already do that. If I still have problems, I will start a new thread.
