I have two questions: First, I have made changes to my localhost installation of my website with the free version of JoomSEF. I would like to buy the paid version, but I need to know whether all the work I put in on my URLs and meta-tags will be lost when I change to the paid version. Is the upgrade to the paid version just a matter of entering a code somehow for the already-installed free version, or do I have to uninstall the free version (and lose all the changes I made) and then re-install the paid version and redo all my work?

Hi,

The files between free and paid package are different, so it's required to overwrite them. But you don't need to uninstall your current version of JoomSEF, you can use the Upgrade page in JoomSEF and just select the paid package for upgrade - the files will be overwritten automatically and your configuration and SEF URLs will stay intact.
But of course there's always a chance that something will go wrong, so it's always recommended to backup your website before updating any components.

Yes, all the paid extensions work also with free version of JoomSEF.
