I purchased your component joomsef and the extension for jomsocial.
What I really need to remove is the tag 'jomsocial' in some urls.
E.g. www.mysite.com/de/jomsocial/register
Is it possible to change 'jomsocial' to my site's name?

Hello,

Open the Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF, open the JomSocial extension parameters, and on the Common tab you can either disable this by setting "Show Menu Title" to "No" or use the "Custom Menu Title" field to set your own.

Hi there can u please help me out i have been trying to do this for a while now and canot find the option when u say open manage extension page in joomsef where is this option i have looked an looked and cannot seem to find it im using joomla 2.5 and jomsocial Version: 2.6.1 im a bit of a noob so can u please explain in more detail for me where i can find these options

In your Joomla's administration area navigate to the following menu: Components -> ARTIO JoomSEF -> Manage Extensions.

Hi there thanks for reply I'm out at minute but will try as soon as I get back I was trying different things last night and ended up losing index.php says 404 error :( so now I have had to set my homepage to forward to /index.php/jomsocial so now more than ever I need to change the url
