Working hard on performance optimization we had to admit that Artio JoomSEF cause serious website loading delay. It looks that joomsef makes wrong query to mysql and waits for response for a long time.

Could you please help to find out what is looked by joomsef and why it waits for responce disallowing to load the website?

JoomSEF should use cache for the most used URLs and thus reduce the number of SQL queries needed and also decrease the load.

Is caching allowed in your Joomla site and the cahce directory writeable?

We have already spent many hours over JoomSEF optimization, so I beleive, there should be no "unreasonable" queries run. (you should be able to see thise in debug mode)
