But the menu item selection problem I could not solve.

Hello,

There is probably some problem with correct Itemid handling. Go to JoomSEF's configuration, Advanced page and check that both "Exclude source info (Itemid)" and "Reappend source (Itemid)" options are either set to "No" or both to "Yes".

thank you, but nothing of your instructions helped.
I found another solution.
I switched off the system cache and then it runs fine.
So I don't need the system cache, because I use another cache plugin.
