using Joomla 1.5 virtuemart 1.1

I've installed JoomSEF (paid version, WITH virtuemart plugin).

All my links to virtuemart show "mysite.com/shopping-cart.html" on every link I'm using throughout joomla. AND the links that are linking directly to cateogyrs are displaying a category name, but the wrong one (ie. computer motherboards category shows "mysite.com/case-fans/motherbaords.html"

I've explored all the option and I can't find anything that could be casueing this. please advise ASAP on what we can do to resolve this

I've uninstalled JoomSEF and reinstalled it fresh. the virtuemart links still are playing up (inserting the wrong name into the URL) and so are the content links (pointing to the shopping cart instead of wach category) that point to VM.

We've paid money to get this SEF working yet the software isn't working straight out of the box. What other alternatives can we try to get this working?

plase, post here examples of the wrong links both in their SEO and non SEO form.
Also please note what JoomSEF and VM extension you have.
