When I search -Joomla search + VM component - for the company's name on a newly launched website WC www.domain.nl/search?searchword=Company-Name the same contact page is shown 6 times!!! Why is that?

Hello,
try to check if there are multiple URLs stored in URL manager. JoomSEF has no direct influence on how many results will be returned. So the only idea I have is that some contacts have the same URL.
In such case the original non-SEF URL could tell us more.

With a Joomfish plugin for search and a small change to that search plugin all searches now show the proper urls. All search problems were caused by a JoomSEF/Joomfish/Virtuemart combination issue that was solved with a search plugin for Joomfish and Virtuemart..
