Hi,

Joomsef doesnt create metadescriptions on my website. I searched the forums and on several posts I read that I have to set yes to "Generate description/keywords" in 'Content extension parameters'.

This may be a dumb question but I searched and couldn't find a tab or button to go to the 'Content extension parameters'.

What am I overlooking?

OK, after more searching I found where to do this. Only to discover I had everything set right. Still there are no meta descriptions created.

What else can be wrong?

Hello,

Go to JoomSEF's Configuration and on the Title and Meta Tags tab make sure the "Enable MetaData generation" option is enabled. Then make sure that the System - ARTIO JoomSEF plugin is enabled and is the first plugin in ordering. Also make sure that there is no other plugin enabled that could interfere with the meta tags generation.

Those setting where already done correct.
Doublechecked it;

Metadata generation is enabled in the Title an Meta Tags tab.
The system Artio joomsef plugin is enabled
There is no other plugin that creates meta tags

What next?

Go to Manage Meta Tags page in JoomSEF and check if meta tags are generated for SEF URLs in the database. Are there any meta tags generated?

Meta keywords are created.
Meta descriptions and Meta Titles are not created.
