I have managed to reduce the duplicate url of our VM shop alot thanks to Joomsef; i still get some duplicates though, of the following format:

Duplicate 1:index.php?option=com_virtuemart&category_id=19&flypage=yagendoo_VaMazing_1.tpl&lang=en&page=shop.ask&product_id=280&Itemid=17

Duplicate 2:index.php?option=com_virtuemart&category_id=19&flypage=&lang=en&page=shop.ask&product_id=280

As you can see, on the 2nd duplicate we get a flypage=, which we need to avoid, is it possible? We have set yagendoo_VaMazing_1.tpl to be the default one.

Also in the 2nd one the Itemid=17 is totally missing. Is it possible to enforce this to be in the url even if it is missing??

the only effective way to avoid that would be making sure all links generated by VirtueMart are consistent. However, that is almost impossible task - would take too much time to fix all those.

So you can use some other approach. Such as to set that URL that DO NOT include flypage will not be SEFed. This can be set at Variable Filters tab in JoomSEF / Manage Extensions / VirtueMart.

Of course, there is several more possible approaches but I believe the one suggested above is most effective and fastest to setup.
