TOPIC: Problem with Virtuemart extension - Order 5854

Problem with Virtuemart extension - Order 5854 15 years, 2 months ago #8097

I've purchased today both the main JoomSEF 3.3.6 and the relevant extension for Virtuemart

I have installed the main component and it seems to be working OK, however with the Viirtuemart extension there is the following problem: The URLs created are missing the domain part. So for example instead of creating the URL

eshop.eurobath.gr/shop/category-name (or something similar)

the following is created

category-name

which of course doesn't work

This happens for all VM items (products, cart etc)

Can you please advise ? Thanks

Hello,
that is very strange. Where exactly do you see this value? In href value of an link?

One idea might be checking if the site base in VirtueMart configuration is set correctly. (please note it HAS to end with / -- as instructed there)
For more thoughts, please, inform about where exactly this occurs.

Well, the values of the hrefs are as follows:

notice the two slashes

(this is for a product url). This seems to be happening for all Virtuemart URLs

While for other URLs the format is
FAQ

(notice there is only one slash)

Any ideas ?

I've investigated a little and the problem was that by default there are no replacements provided for non-ASCII Greek characters. Most of the categories are in Greek.

When I updated the configuration with those replacements it worked fine.
