Hi!

I got a big website with many components :
Joomla 1.5.10
- Seyret
- Joomgallery
- Eventlist
- SOBI2
- Kunena
- PUArcade
- EWeather

I uses Joomsef 3.2.11 (the last one) and I buy joomgallery and Eventlist plugins.

Everything works well (except some little bugs in Seyret), but suddenly my URLs become crazy... For example, mysite.fr/jeux.html suddenly becomes mysite.fr/index.php/agenda/lieux/venueev...ry/loisirs/jeux.html

This new (bad) URL is shaking Evenlist and SOBI URL...


To solve this, I have to empty Joomsef and Joomla Caches and to purge URLs. After that, my site works well... until the next time. I supposed (but i'm not sure at all) that evenlist provides this issue because crazy urls always beggin with "index.php/agenda/lieux/venueevents


Any idea ??

Hi !!

I discovered something : only joomla links (menus) are concerned by my problem. When i go to the components , links are good....

Other strange thing : since I put custom SEF, after a moment, good URLs comes back alone...

ive come accross this very same situation and the only way i found to fix it was to modify my .htaccess according to the artio's .htaccess

look for it in the documentation .. u can look at it inside artio's backend config screen

Absolutely Incredible !!!

Since i uploaded Joomsef to 3.2.12, the problem never happened anymore... I received your answer... and this morning, the problem came back !!! It appears when i was clicking on the link of a new extension : RWcards. I don't have joomsef plugin for this extension...

my .htaccess was as provided in artio's backend config screen. I use this version of .htaccess from the beginning. I don't think that is the reason why URL sometimes become crazy...


Any other idea ??

Whenever the URLs start with index.php, most likely the option "Use Apache mod_rewrite" in Joomla Global Site Configuration in NOT enabled. To run JoomSEF, you need to have it ENABLED.

I disabled the Apache mod_rewrite option in Joomla Global Site Configuration as you told me but the problem still remains the same...

the only solution i found is to disable the cache in Joomla Global Site Configuration, but i'm not satisfied with this solution because i'm sure it makes my website slower than it could be. Every time i enabled the cache, URLs don't work... it takes few minutes, but the are going crazy !


Please, i really need a solution because i'm very close to promote my website !!
