Why are there so many database queries? It's pretty ridiculous!

I've tested this out on a few different sites, every time I've installed Artio my queries have jumped from between 20-50 queries to 300-600 queries!!!!! Unreal!

I'm not new to Artio, I've been using it for a while now. Older versions like 1.2.x weren't as bad, usually running around 100 queries. What's with the newer versions doubling/tripling the queries??

Sorry Artio, but until you get this issue worked out I can't use you. Your too much of a hog!

I use Artio 1.3... An there is a lot of queires...

And so much empty queries : SELECT DATABASE ()

for one page, i have 84 queries with Artio,

and 22, if i don't use Artio...
