I am doing a test on my site and will upgrade to paid version if it suits my needs.

I am getting the /blog appended onto my urls and want this removed. The problem is that if I go to Extensions Management -> Content -> Add layout to URL -> Never -> Save then I get "500 - An error has occurred."

I have tried reinstalling but still have the same problem.

Is there a way to manually make this change in the database?

Ok, so I fixed this issue. If anyone else is having issues with this then the way I fixed it was to unpackage the install zip, find the com_content.xml file and change the options in there. Seemed to install the options fine after that (although strangely I still needed to go to extensions management and resave the content item.

If this happens again, the extensions parameters are stored in jos_sefexts table in the params column.

I cannot find the place that you are talking about: extensions parameters are stored in jos_sefexts

There are no parameters to set for the extension when I look in Extensions > Plugins etc

also, I tried to send a screen shot, but this board would not let me add an attachment.

Hi mrsrowe, I think that they are talking about editing the database directly through something like phpmyadmin.

I tried doing it that way but it didn't seem to work for me, but it was my first time using phpmyadmin.

thanks, I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case, phpadmin isn't so horrible if you go about it in a calm way, but I'm always uncomfortable about messing with the backend stuff.
