This is kind of a double-question. The first is, I recently installed JV-Link-Exchanger, a really nice component, to my site www.viajeria.com. I was unable to get the joomsef links to work with the component, so I turned off joomsef for the component. Basically, it wouldn't show any of the categories, the "add link" link didn't work, etc. I don't know if there's anything you can do on your end to help?

Anyway, it seems that in the process of troubleshooting this I've lost a ton of redirects. Of course, I hadn't backed things up from the joomsef component (I only just realized this could be done - stupid, I know), although I do regular backups of the site and the the databases. So, the question is, is there anything I can do besides re-enter the 196 (so far) url's that google is telling me can no longer be found? I expect the answer to be "no", but I at least wanted to document this issue.

Hello Paul,

if those deleted URLs were "custom URLs", then I am afraid there is no way how to regerate them unless you hace a backup.

However, if those were just auto generated URLs, then those will be generated again in the same way when you browse your site. The only difference might be when you changed the configuration, so the old-style (before configuration change) URLs will not match the new ones. But if the configuration is same or compatible, then JoomSEF will just regarate the links by itself.

I've saved all the url's as custom url's, and I've also upgraded the JoomSEF component - I had an older version that deleted the redirects when you changed the configuration automatically.
