I wonder if there is a way (I guess through .htaccess) to avoid just one type of task/url to be left out of JoomSEF.

Example: I've made my site to work with Mosets Tree, JoomFish and Artio JoomSef 1.4, but there is one particular MT Menu link that keeps not working:

index.php?option=mtree&task=editlisting&link_id=539&Itemid=72

It's translated as: mtree/editlisting-2.html

I'd like all non-sef urls begining with index.php?option=mtree&task=editlisting... to be left out of the JoomSEF.

Is that possible?

Any help would be most welcome.

Hi,

well, there is several options, however probably none of them is exactly what you want, but maybe it can give you some hints.

1. there has been a bug in JoomSEF prior to 1.4.1 that was causing com_mtree not working properly in some specific cases, so first of all you may try to upgrade

2. you may edit the way how the URL is translated (the resulting SEF URL) to anything you want using the generated URL editor; this way you could also leave it in the original way; it is not possible to configure that one particular link does not go via SEF process, but this may be a kind of workaround

3. if the links still does not work, you may try to add a RewriteRule directly to .htacess, that will translate the SEF link to original value just before JoomSEF tries to do so

Hi you guys at Artio,

I've been trying out JoomSEF component with Mosets Tree for a couple of days and was just about to purchase the sponsor free version when I discovered that "Edit listing" function doesn't work at all when JoomSEF is enabled.

1) Is this something you will try to fix, and if so do you know when? In my mind, this would obviously be a component worth paying for.

2) If not, can you help provide a solution how to overide the SEF-urls for the instances regarding "Edit listing" in Mosets Tree? Is there something you can add to the .htaccess file to skip SEF-urls in these cases?

3) Is it able to modify the Url output when it comes to viewing the details of a listing? Instead of like it is today with "www.mydomain.com/listing-name/viewlink.html", I think it would be better with either "www.mydomain.com/listing-name/index.html" or just "www.mydomain.com/listing-name/". Being able to use both would be reaally awesome. =)
