I've tried using AlphaRegistration as well as the standard com_user registration. For AlphaRegistration, once a user completes the 1st step of registration, they should be redirected to another page (step 2). Instead, they are redirected back to the homepage. The registration goes through, but it should take them to the step 2 page not the homepage.

I've tried setting it to use JoomSEF, Joomla router, and no SEF and the same results. I also have the same issue when using the standard com_user component.

The only time I can get either to work is if I DISABLE JoomSEF. I'd like to use it but it is conflicting with an important aspect of the site.

Any solutions?

I don't quite understand the step 2 page - as far as I know the standard com_user component redirects to the homepage showing only a message that the registration were successful.
Anyway, try disabling the "Fix index.php links" in JoomSEF's configuration on the Advanced tab.

I've tried that and it doesn't work.
I cannot figure out why this is happening and it is killing my site.
