TOPIC: JoomSEF and characters

I'm havin' little problems. When I turned on JoomSEF, it doesn't read slavic characters, so it puts some wierd letters.

example: in automated system JoomSEF puts my links into "www.bla.com/rjeenik.html" but I would like that to be "rjecnik".

How can I change that? I have a lot of links so doing it manually is enormous job. I tried to change that manually, but after saving, it changes back how it used to be.

Thank you

p.s. if you don't understand it good, i'll try to explain it better

Maybe you Czechs will understand. I'm from Croatia and we have similar letters, like "čćžšđ", so I'd like them converted to "cczsd" if you know what I mean.

Thank you

Hello,

it should not be a problem, in version 1.2.5 there has been added a configuration field where you can specify how should which characters be translated. So try to configure it there.

Best regards,
Jirka

Hi.

We are using ArtioSEF with shumisha fix and we find it astonishingly good. It gives us great control over translated urls. We have a small problem though.

We have translated content with croatian characters in title. For making SEF urls we use title alias field where we put the page title but without croatian characters (just c,s,d,z etc.)
It works great, except one little thing. Everywhere on the pages there are croatian characters, except in the page title.

for example, instead of Marušici, page title dispalys Marušići

Is there a way to fix this.

Kind regards,
kenjueke
