Hi,

To make it even simpler, you do not need to play with phpmyadmin or manually remove tables.
Switch to "Extended display" from main control panel, to have all configuration options available. Then go to configuration, and under the "Advanced" tab, at the very bottom, you'll find options to set how configuration and urls should be processed when uninstalling sh404sef. You can choose to keep or loose configuration, automatically created urls, manually created urls, etc

Hope it helps

Hi,

after finding out, that sh404sef has become commercial and paid, I would like to give JoomSEF a chance.

But there is a concern: we are driving a site with several hundert articles for our non-profit human rights organization.

Will break the change from sh404SEF to JoomSEF the previous URLs? So, if someone has linked to an article before, will this link now be broken?

Best regards,
Ricardo Cristof

Hello,

no need to worry about this - simply export the URLs from sh404SEF and JoomSEF is able to import them, so they will be preserved, unless you will wish to modify/delete some of them.
In such case, you can maintain the original links funcitonal by 301 Redirection records. (JoomSEF offer its creation automatically, if you change the store SEO URL)

Does the uninstall and reinstall is the only way? isn't it possible to simply delete the table and recreate it with the right structure?
