TOPIC: Help

Help 13 years, 5 months ago #22843

A couple of questions...I just upgraded my site to Joomla 1.6.

I liked the functionality of ARTIO SEF after using 404sef. But...

1) My meta tags are not showing up (title tags are not)

2) title tag for homepage is unchangeable

3) Google has now taken all of my deep links out of index (not homepage). I know it is related to the conversion. I don't know if it is related to ARTIO SEF and whether i need to change something in my htaccess file, etc.

Any help?

Thanks.

I would be more than happy to upgrade to the pay version if this would help.

Re: Help 13 years, 5 months ago #22848

However, most of my inner link pages are STILL not indexed. After doing some research, I believe it could be either a) a problem with the code b) the ARTIO SEF, or c) the .htaccess file and/or the robot.txt file

Mainly I wanted to ask about ARTIO SEF - did you you the attached htaccess file it suggests?

Also, I can't seem to change the title tag on the homepage...can you tell me how to do this? And all the metas I created do not show up in any of the pages.

This is the one it suggests, I changed it - the one you had as the htaccess file it attached. So I can replace it if this one goes bad.

For Apache, set your ".htaccess" file like this (this is file for Joomla 1.5.x):
##
# @version $Id: htaccess.txt 9975 2008-01-30 17:02:11Z ircmaxell $
# @package Joomla
