I tried to enable the joomla debug mode in my website and discovered that JoomSEF is generating the keywords and descriptions (I extracted part of the debug output and pasted on the previous message), but for some reasons the keywords and description is not available on the browser (and probably for the search engines).

If you open the website, acces one of the products page and visualize the source code of the page you can see that the description and keywords meta tags are replaced by "La Fonte S.r.l. Official Site" the default I set in Joomla CPanel.

I also tried to leave empty the default tags but the result is that they are empty on the pages too.

I replied to the post related to the sh404sef uninstallation because in effect I had this component before to install JoomSEF and I have the mentioned table in my DB.
I thought that it could have caused this behavior so I was wondering if it was possible to remove it without reinstalling JoomSEF.

I'm having the same problem, but my joomsef metadata keyword gets updated but the Meta Descrition does not. Downloading version Version: 3.6.1 did not fix the problem.

Ps Meta Description is the correct spelling in the software its wrong.

I have the same problem since i upgraded to version 3.5.5.
I have just upgraded to version 3.6.1 and the problem persists.

It seems to be that joomsef 3.5.5 and above is preventing the joomla global configuration to be used.

Without descriptions and keywords Joomsef is simply not SEF anymore.

Can someone from Artio help us?

Ok. I found a workaround.

We can populate Description and Keywords by hand using the "JoomSEF Meta Tags Manager".

at the joomla back end Go to:

components > Artio JoomSEF > manage meta tags

This is not the most practical solution but at least solves the problem for the main pages of my website.

It would be great that someone from artio could help us to find out if we are doing something wrong that prevents joomSEF to automatically generate the meta tags
