When I enable ArtioSEF and use the site search it does work but if I select a check box in the Search Only area the results are not changed as though no box were selected.

When the box is selected the result page comes back just as if no box were selected, even box becomes unselected.

Here's more information I found:

If I "Purge SEF Links", the search works correctly for one time. The next search doesn't.

so, purging is a clue.

This will be fixed in next JoomSEF version. You should be able to make it work for now if you go to Manage Extensions, click the Search extension, expand the Common parameters group and set "Number duplicate URLs" option to "Yes".
