I have tried googling this, I have tried searching the forums about it, but I can't find a similar post, so I figured I make one my self.

I currently have Joomla 1.5.9 installed with the latest release of JoomSEF, and currently it won't keep the formatting I define in articles. For instance, if I insert an image, the image is gone after I press save, so is all my linebreaks etc. I like the component, and how it integrates well with CB (among other), but it is really unusable for me if I can't format my articles properly.

I have tried looking at the FAQs, and removed the table from shXXX (sorry, forgot the name of the component, but "the other SEF Component"), and all other tables related to that, but still no luck.

Hopefully someone here can tell me what an idiot I am and the solution is as simple as... If you need any more information, let me know.

I'm having this issue as well.

I'm currently running Joomla 1.5.9, JoomSEF 3.2.9, MyBlog 2.0.1 and the MyBlog JoomSEF extension v1.2.

With JoomSEF enabled, HTML entities are stripped from any article (or MyBlog post) entered from the front-end using TinyMCE. Edits done from the Admin back-end (or with JoomSEF turned off) work just fine.

Prior to installing JoomSEF, I tried sh404SEF, and uninstalled it per the instructions. JoomSEF is otherwise working perfectly.

However, with sh404SEF, I had to make a config change so that it would not strip HTML from POST variables. I'm guessing JoomSEF is doing this, but I cannot find a way to change it.

Anyone else experience this and know how to correct it?

I got it working, but I have no idea how I did it. I changed QUERY String to yes, and one other change I can't remember for the life of me right now, and it started working. I had tried that setup earlier, and it didn't work then, but after I cleaned the cache and reloaded it worked perfectly. Have no idea what made it work, sorry..

Ok, I'm fixed now too.

Probably not the most efficient way of finding a solution, but I starting changing (what I thought might be relevant) options one at a time, purging the cache/urls, testing, then changing it back and moving to the next until I hit it.

I had to set "Prevent nonSEF variables from overwriting the parsed ones:" to NO. With that, article and MyBlog posts are working, and no longer stripping out the HTML tags.

Many thanks, that resolved my problem as well. The frontend managers cold not update our site becouse of this problem.
