When a user votes on a poll or clicks to see the results of a poll, they get a 404 page not found error.

I have also tried installing the Apoll component which will allow voting, but clicking view details gets a 404.

Turning off SEF urls fixes stuff, but obviously I want them on. Mod_rewrite is set to 'yes' and I've renamed my htaccess file to .htaccess. Something is clearly amiss with my setup though, any ideas?

I also get some other weird errors here and there, that only happen when SEF URLs are on. Like one of the links in the top menu randomly didn't work, but deleting it and recreating it with a slightly different name somehow fixed it.

Any ideas on this? This is holding back the release of my site.

Try disabling the System - Backlink plugin, it seems to be messing with the URLs starting with /component.

It looks like system - backlink was already turned off, and still getting the problem.

What version of JoomSEF do you use?
Make sure that "Parse Joomla SEO links" option is enabled in JoomSEF's configuration on the Advanced tab. You should also disable "Add suffix to URLs" option in Joomla's Global Configuration.

I was on 3.6.3. I just upgraded to 3.7.1 and now the links the formerly redirected to the 404 page instead give me the following error:



The links that worked before all still work.
