we have bougth joomSEF 3 last year for our new project. No we have decided to change our project towards joomla 1.6. We have joomSEWF 3 never used in on a live side. It is possible to have a upgrade to JoomSEF 4 ?

currently this is not possible as JoomSEF 4 is still beta only, but as soon as JoomSEF v4 in final release will be ready - which should be very soon (est. within a week or two), there will be an option to upgrade for current v3 customers.

But we have to pay extra, even if we expected to have upgrades to JoomSef well into 2011. I call this a ripoff.

Myself I paid for one year of upgrades, and got only 3 months, because now we have v4 and I'm not getting that unless I pay more.

ok, I understand you can have this point of view, anyway JoomSEF 3 and 4 are different products for diffeerent incompatible versions of Joomla, same as JoomSEF 2 and JoomSEF 3 were.
Both JoomSEF 3 and 4 will be now continued products. With release of JoomSEF 4 it does not mean the development of v3 has stopped.

Plus this has no affection on your year-long upgrade period. That will be maintained.
