TOPIC: Switching on JoomSEF in J1.7 borks my front end

Re: Switching on JoomSEF in J1.7 borks my front end 13 years ago #25061

The site has now been upgraded to running on Joomla 1.7.2 and the problems are still persisting.

What do you recommend to solve the issue?

To the support guys at Artio: I love the product and understand that sometimes things don't work straight away, but ...

I supplied login and FTP credentials within two hours of being asked.

This was almost 6 days ago. In that time I haven't heard anything back, and neither has anybody from Artio logged in to the Joomla site using the specially generated superadmin account.

Do I need to directly purchase an hour of support time to have this looked at?

Please advise so that I can get this issue resolved. I have multiple web sites waiting that I wish to apply a fixed paid installation of JoomSEF to.

This problem came from Joomla itself. In the database was missing ordering column in table #__languages.

I look into Joomla update process and it seems, that now is not possible to only unpack Joomla upgrade package to ftp, but it may be necesarry to use update manager to update your Joomla to latest version or install Joomla Update package via Extensions/Extension Manager, so Joomla can run update SQL queries in your database.

My site is now broken too. I tried reinstalling 1.7.3 via extension manager but no bingo! Would you consider posting your SQL query which resolved this issue?

I won't bother asking Artio support to help me. I'm still waiting for an answer from six months ago to fix pagination
