Hi to all,

We are using latest Joomsef 4 with our Joomla 2.5 site and VM2 installation.

We currently use the test site http://62.1.216.81/~qualtun for our new website version.

We have parked the following domains using cpanel and pointed them to our host DNS servers:

quality-tuning.co.uk
quality-tuning.de
quality-tuning.es
quality-tuning.fr
quality-tuning.gr
quality-tuning.it
quality-tuning.nl
quality-tuning.pt
quality-tuning.ru

We have configured Joomsef as in the attached pic. However, when we switch language we only go to the http://62.1.216.81/~qualtun/fr, http://62.1.216.81/~qualtun/de, etc... websites, i.e. the URL integration method is used instead of the different domain.

Would appreciate your comments!

Some further info:

If you go to the above parked URLs manually, it is working, i.e. if you type www.quality-tuning.gr in the browser it will direct to the correct page.

However the links will not work properly, i.e. if you click on the following link:

www.quality-tuning.gr/inox-universal-mpo...style-71mm-l220-in58

This will become:

www.quality-tuning.gr/~qualtun/inox-universal-mpouka-eksatmisis-dipli-egg-style-71mm-l220-in58

As you can see the ~qualtun will be added for some reason.

Furthermore, for a native Joomla multilanguage site, you need to create a VM menu for each language. The default English VM menu has Itemid=101 and for the other languages the Itemid is different (this is normal)

However, Joomsef is using Itemid=101 for all languages URL! Is this normal?

As regards the Itemid, open Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF and there open VirtueMart extension parameters and on the Common tab set "Ignore multiple sources" to "No".

Thanks for your reply. The RewriteBase was indeed RewriteBase /~qualtun, i removed the ~qualtun and it worked, thanks!

I also set "Ignore multiple sources" to "No" and selected not to Override the Itemid and that did the trick also, great.

So, regarding the language switcher i guess there is nothing to be done in order to link to the top level domains?

Currently no, but we plan to address this in next version of JoomSEF.
