Hi! I am using JoomSEF 4.2.4 installed on Joomla 2.5.1.

When I create a menu item of standard "Category Blog" type, the SEF link is generated perfectly. The non-sef url in this case is: index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog

When I create a menu item of custom "My Custom Category Blog" type, the link gets broken in the front-end. JoomSEF doesn't even try to generate a SEF link. The Joomla link which generate a 404 error is: index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=template:custom-category.

What should I do to solve this and create a SEF link that functions?

Try disabling the "System variables filtering" in JoomSEF's configuration on the Advanced tab (you need to enable Professional mode on Basic tab first). If it helps, we'll fix it in next version.
