TOPIC: BIG problem with URL creation after migration to J

BIG problem with URL creation after migration to J 11 years, 10 months ago #35523

Hi all,
I need your help.

I successfully complete migration from JoomSEF3 and Joomla! 1.5.26 to JoomSEF4 and Joomla! 2.5.8.
All Settings in JoomSEF4 i set such as JoomSEF3 configuration.
I import JoomSEF URLs from old base to new base.

Example of old after migration: url www.almodi.org/novosti-hardware/kitayski...ch-superkompiuterach

New generated URL after migration: www.almodi.org/novosti-hardware/novosti/...stavleno-na-ces-2013

This BIG trouble in all sections.
novosti-hardware/novosti/novosti-hardware - it's VERY BAD URL.

Hot to fix this trouble of URL creation for new articles???

I found that old structure with 2 levels of depth - is source of generating wrong URLs by JoomSEF.

I changed structures to one level of depth and one point in URL is gone:
www.almodi.org/novosti-hardware/novosti-...stavleno-na-ces-2013

But why category name is double?

Settings:

Hi,

The first part of URL is the menu item name. You can remove it easily - open JoomSEF's Extensions Manager, open the Content extension parameters and on the Common tab disable the "Add menu title to URL" option.
