TOPIC: 404 on all pages

404 on all pages 12 years, 7 months ago #29647

I've bought and installed JoomSEF for J1.7 on three different website, on two it works perfectly but on the third it returns 404 pages for all links. I've checked the .htaccess file and the rewrite rules, everything is in place but still I can't get it to work. Any idea?

Hi,
Make sure that your web server runs on Apache and that the .htaccess file is allowed to be used. Check if the correct RewriteBase is set in the .htaccess file.

The website is running on apache and the Rewrite Base is set. I also tested if the .htaccess file is applying and that is the case, the standard SEF urls from Joomla are working fine as well. Any ideas how to solve it?

If you open Manage SEF URLs page in JoomSEF, are there SEF URLs generated correctly? Could you post some example of non-working SEF URL and its corresponding Real non-SEF URL from JoomSEF's URLs Manager?
