TOPIC: 403 error on final step of checkout process in VM

403 error on final step of checkout process in VM 12 years ago #35295

Hi There

I'm struggling to work out what's happened here and fix it - no obvious changes to config etc (at least, that's what the customer tells me!!). This fault appeared a couple of days ago 'out of the blue'

J 1.5.26
VM 1.1.8
ArtoSEF 3.9.9 + VM Extension 2.1.8

When I get through to the final step of the checkout process, I get the following error:

Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.

... This appears after I have selected a payment method and checked out - the site's web address is:

www.domain.com/home/?checkout_last_step=4

I have tried changing the VM Extension so it does not SEF checkout URLs and toggled SEF on Cart URLs too, then purged the SEF URLs and cache - nothing seems to work.

Help!

Please let me know if you need more details or email me if you need a login to check the settings - If this gets picked up by someone from ARTIO, please see order 00028659.

Thanks in advance

I've spotted something else...

The url changes from :

home/cart/checkout?checkout_last_step=3

to the following:

home/?checkout_last_step=4

... at the last step

If I manually change it to :

home/cart/checkout?checkout_last_step=4

... then it throws me back to the previous screen (ie, step=3)

Thanks

SOLVED

It turns out that the client had changed the 'Store Name' in the VM config, which was causing the payment gateways to not recognise the request being sent.

Of course, if you haven't changed something like the store name, which has been the same since the website first launched, you don't think to look at it for a fault or error!!
