Apologies if this is documented somewhere already, I was unable to find specifics for this. I have the latest versions of both Joomla and Virtuemart. Recently I have been working on SEO for my site and according to my findings I am in need of Joomsef! I would like to have the most up-to-date version which is compatable with Virtuemart.

I have found an add-on for Joomsef/Virtuemart for the older versions here;

I was wondering if there was plugin for version 3.2.1?

If there currently isn't could someone please recommend which version is most compatable with the least bugs etc for an install?

any advice is much appreciated.

Hello,

for joomla 1.5.x you need the JoomSEF in version 3.2.x. The free version of it you can find here www.artio.net/en/downloads/joomla-compon...oomsef-3-2-1/details.

And the commercial version you can find in our e-shop: JoomSEF 3.2.1.

For virtuemart you need a extension for JoomSEF. This extension you find in our e-shop too - Virtuemart JoomSEF extension

Thanks for the quick response! If I were to use an older version of Joomsef so I can use the free plugin would this cause a problem? I've seen a few notes on needing to run the site in legacy mode? Is that necessarily the case?

Hi,

the extension which you linked in your first post was no't developed by ARTIO. So we cannot tell you if it will be working correctly.

We of couse recommend using our official extension.
If you want to use the unofficia onel, you are surely free to do so, but please contact its author for questions and support.
