I have a number of websites and a staging server with the same sites on it that I use to prepare updates and upgrades. Can I run the free version of JoomSEF on the staging server and the for-pay version on the live sites, copying the database across every time I want to update? If I copy the joomla directory, will that cause a problem?

Ideally in this case, I'd like to have a licensing file that contains all the licenses I need (2 for now) for the live sites, but store it also on the staging server, so that I can copy the directory AND the database and not break JoomSEF.
