TOPIC: Problems with AJAX

Problems with AJAX 16 years, 4 months ago #4458

Hello,

My system:
Database Version: 4.1.22-log
PHP Version: 4.4.8
WebServer: Apache/2
WebServer to PHP interface: cgi-fcgi
Joomla!: Joomla! 1.5.3 Production/Stable [ Vahi ] 22-April-2008 22:00 GMT
VirtueMart: VirtueMart 1.1.1 stable
JoomSEF: JoomSEF 3.1.1 + VirtueMart JoomSEF Extension 2.0.0

When I've turned on AJAX checkout on I've getting 404 in popup after Add to basket click. With AJAX off, everything works.

Also JoomSEF does'not seem to work with category wih only one product - non SEF link appears after choosing category. Have I something missconfigured or is it a bug?

Best regards,
Marek Strug

Hello,

Please, check if AJAX works with SEF turned off completely and if it works with Joomla's standard SEF only (JoomSEF turned off) to see if it's JoomSEF's problem - we didn't encounter this issue during our tests with VirtueMart.
The non-SEF links for categories with only one product are caused by VirtueMart - it redirects to the only product in category without using SEF to translate the link. You can change this default behaviour in VirtueMart's configuration.

Hello,

Could you tell me, what should I change in my configuration to get SEF links for categories with only one product?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Hello,

I'm sorry, my mistake - you can't change this behaviour using VM configuration, it is hard coded and SEF support for this is marked as TODO in the code. If you are up to some code digging, the redirection functionality is located in /administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/shop.browse.php file on line 82. You could also report your request to VirtueMart developers.
