I recently upgraded to Joomla 1.5

When users click on articles, the pages show up as 404 errors.

I purged the SEF URLs in the JoomSEF control panel and I still received 404 errors when clicking on article links.

I changed the Search Engine Friendly URLs to No in the Joomla admin panel and the pages now appear, but of course the urls are not SEF.

Any help would be appreciated.

What version of JoomSEF do you use?

Make sure that you purge the URLs in JoomSEF and clear JoomSEF's cache. Then check if your .htaccess file is set up correctly.
