I'm trying to figure out what advantages JoomSEF for Joomla 1.5 Native provides over the Joomla 1.5's built-in SEF. They both provide SEF links, but I've also heard that all SEF components can also cause problems in the following way:

SEF components in general create several links to one destination. Often, this causes some links to have multiple outputs with respect to modules that are displayed for a single page. The fix is to then delete/mark as "do not use" the links that you don't like. For big sites, this is very time consuming, especially considering that new links are usually created later as well.

Is this true, even for the 1.5 native version? And if so, what are the benefits to using an SEF component?
