I'm using 2.2.7 on Joomla 1.0.15.

I had some modules set to display only on the home page. I installed the JoomSEF component and now those modules do not show.

This problem is most likely caused by sending an incorrect Itemid variable to Joomla. You can control the way JoomSEF handles this variable using "Exclude source info", "Reappend source info" and "Ignore multiple sources" options in configuration or with some options in extensions' parameters. You can find more information in JoomSEF's documentation.
