I'm trying to edit a Word document and I'm getting this message that won't allow:

The Internet Address 'mywebsite.com/hcwebdav/21f31cc4108d5ea4866/document.doc' is not valid.

I have webdav enabled in config and user edit webdav permissions are allowed.

1. you have enabled this function on your server.
2. if there is this in .htaccess
RewriteRule ^hcwebdav(.*) /index.php?option=com_joomdoc&task=webdav&file=$1 [R]

in that case you have to add the rule.

So, we've added the rule to .htaccess and enabled on our server including the directory.

Now when we open a Word file and try to save back to the server it is asking us to 'Save As' to a local location.

I thought the app was to save the same file back to the server?

are you sure you have Apache Module mod_dav and is that mod_dav enable for directory where documents are?
