The only language file that JoomDoc seems to read in <Joomla_root>/components/com_joomdoc/views/themes/default/language is english.php . If I copy this file to finnish.php, swedish.php a.s.o., these files are not noticed by Joomla/DocMan. The naming should be correct as it corresponds with the <backwardLang> tag in <Joomla_root>/language/fi-FI directory fi-FI.xml. I cannot find the error in JoomDoc's code, has anyone solved this?

Hello,
in 2.0.2 the structure of langauge files has been modified to more adhere to Joomla 1.5 API.
(the files are in administrator/language and /language and uses standard Joomla 1.5 namin convention as en_EN)

So when using en_GB, the language files I that should be used are

/language/en_GB/en_GB.com_joomdoc.ini
/administrator/language/en_GB/en_GB.com_joomdoc.ini
/administrator/language/en_GB/en_GB.com_joomdoc_common.ini

- These are partially read but not all parameters seems to be in use as:

- These files does not hold the original translations (starting with _DML ) from components/com_joomdoc/views/themes/default/language/english.php such as the main page Categories, Downloads Home, Search

- The above english.php IS STILL IN USE and overrides other translations
- english.php is always read, ie swedish.php etcetera are not looked at.

hello and excuse my English...

I downloaded a language pack for Spanish an it works (partially) for the backend but not at all for the frontend. For the frontend there is only one file spanish.php that must be located in components\com_joomdoc\views\themes\language. I have located it also in components\com_joomdoc\views\themes\default\language just in case the pack had a mistake. It doesn´t work at all for the site.

I´ve noticed that there are no ini files for this component. Is that normal for this version?

I really need the translation as is the only thing I have to finish before giving the job to my boss

I forgot to tell you that I place \language\es-ES\es-ES.com_joomdoc.ini with some translations and it didn´t work either..
