TJ,
I have seen on some servers that you can not just rename .htaccess once it's been created. Double check that your rename took and if it didn't, just delete all of the contents of the file and then save it.

Thanks for taking a look at it. I'm confused but happy as to why it's working when you did the exact same thing that I did.
The site must have been more afraid of you than me ;-)
Thanks again

Hello, I just bought and installed the JoomSEF 2.1.1 com and already had the VM 1.0 ext.
When I install them on my site I get the error below:
Warning: extract() [function.extract]: First argument should be an array in /home/cyclenut/public_html/components/com_sef/sef_ext/com_virtuemart.php on line 17
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: sefext_com_virtuemart in /home/cyclenut/public_html/components/com_sef/joomsef.php on line 1
Any ideas?<br><br>Post edited by: tony@evolutioncomputersys, at: 2007/10/06 15:01

Well if you ask me that's pretty poor service.
With as many comments about this as there are there it looks like a bug and they don't want to help fix it?
Sad..

Do you know if you have to be running a certain version of Joomla and VM to able to get the results you get?
I am running Joomla 1.0.11. I tried to upgrade to 1.0.11 and the whole site went to he$& fast. Something with the http & https transitions so I downgraded after fighting with it for two days. If you look at Joomla's site you'll see that others have had similar problems and downgraded back to 1.0.11

Hello, I'm running joomla 1.0.12 and just upgraded to Virtuemart 1.0.8.
For Artio SEF I'm running JoomSEF v1.3.1 and just purchased the 1.0.0 about 5 days ago .
Everything ran fine for the first 4 days but yesterday I upgraded my VM to 1.0.8 and now I'm having all kind of https: and cookie problems. Below is what I posted on the VM forum.
The reason I'm posting this here also is that when I diable JoomSEF everything works fine and I don't get ANY of the errors.
This is very bad because I've already had two people telephone me to place orders because they had problems on the site.
Any ideas?
---------------------------------------------
After upgrading from 1.0.7 - 1.0.8 on Joomla 1.0.12 I'm having cookie problems.
They start when a user tries to login and they get the following error:
"Cookies Must Be Enabled!"
Then they have to re-login and proceed with the cart. When they get to the end of the checkout process if they try to click on the "Follow this link to view the order details" prompt they get the following error:
"Error: You do not have permissions to access the requested module."
Also, if I'm going thru the checkout process and click on an item in the cart once I enter the https:// section it takes me back to the item (which is what you would expect) BUT it then shows I have no items in my cart.
Along with this it's also going to https when I click on the home button again. From there, if someone adds an item to the cart and then they click on "Checkout" they get a "Your Cart is currently empty" message.
It looks like for some reason the cookie is not getting set correctly on the clients PC. I've tested this on 4 PC's using both IE and FF and can duplicate it on all of them
