Hi,
yesterday I have upgraded from JomSEF1.4beta2 to 1.4, but I hit a serious problem. On my site I use heavily the category blog (you can see it, www.pra-ma.com). After the upgrade, in all the blogs I was always getting the description of the same category and not the correct one!!! And that regardless the section the category belonged. I have immediately dowgraded back to beta2 and the problem disappeared.
Cheers

Hi,
maybe somebody can help... I have just installed ArtioSEF 1.4 and it worked fine, but... before that I had the built in sef urls activated. The problem is that when I try to open a page using the urls I had before (which are now indexed by google) I get this rather ugly looking error page:
Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/functions.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/pra-ma.com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/pra-ma.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.php on line 47
Warning: main(functions.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/pra-ma.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.php on line 47
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'functions.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/pra-ma.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef.php on line 47
Can anyone tell me where the problem is? As it is, I have temporarily unistalled ArtioSEF (deactivating it was not enough), but I would really like to have it up and running again. Can somebody then tell me what I should have seen?
Regards,
Aldo

Hi,
I tried 1.4 and it works fine. When I save I do see it doing something and I get the message that tells me the configuration was updated.... should I be brave and use it on a live site? If anything goes wrong and I uninstall it, would I have the site back as it was?
Cheers

Hi,
no, after I click save I do not get any confirmation that the configuration was stored and if I visit the page everything is still as it was!
I have not tried a different version, but I will do it at lunchtime. I will first try the older version, as I am at using it on a live site...
Thank you for your help, I am sure there is a simple solution.
Cheers

Hi,
I am using Ario SEF 1.3.3. As I have the site running on my own pc, I tried changing permission to 777. In any case, normally I get an error message when there is a problems with permissions. Uh, Joomla is 1.0.12.
When I change the configuration and try to save it, Artio asks me if I want to purge the automatically generated urls. I say OK and nothing happens. No error message, it just stays on the same window. Very strange. But if I go and change the configuration by hand, then everything works the way it is supposed to!
Any other idea or test that I can try? I forgot to mention that I have the same problem on another pc, same version of Artio but joomla 1.0.11.
It looks like a great piece of software and I would like to use it on a live site!
Cheers

Hi Everybody, I installed today artiosef locally on two test sites and everything works fine, with an exception. I do not seem to be able to save the configuration. When I hit the save button it asks me if I want to purge automatically generated urls, but when I say ok nothing happens. If I edit the file myself everything works fine, but I am afraid I won't be able to do that on a live site installed by a provider. Any idea? Thanks for any help...
Best regards
