Thanks again Jiri. As you say, my photography page is working okay now. I had to set the Expose extension to 'skip' in the configuration. But editing the menu in the admin area with the menu manager is not possible because when I click edit, it doesn't display any of the menu items. In fact, there's nothing except the menu name. I would also like to have the urls without the itemids appended to them at the end. I'm afraid of changing the configuration section too much just in case I'll muck up the site again. What needs to be done to have the urls without the itemids? Apart from these issues, everything else seems to work fine now just the same as before. I really appreciate the help.

Thanks Jiri for your prompt response and good deduction. I have fixed the .htaccess file and most things seem to be working now, such as the pages with content. I'm still unable to access the contents of the menu in order to edit it and a photo display software is not working. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help. I installed the Artio SEF extension just a couple of days ago and configured it just today as instructed (I thought), but found that there is error accessing any page except the home page. I don't know how the problem could be rectified. I'm a newbie and feel really hopeless. I even tried creating a new page and it didn't help. I can't even edit the menu! I don't know what I did wrong.
