Oh, silly me, it was all about the cache. The browser cache had to be cleared before it would start working.

Hi. I installed the upgrade on our test server and it fixed the problem. However I then installed it on our live server and the upgrade had no effect. Using the & symbol still breaks it. But if I copy the files and db of the live server onto our test server, the test server still works fine, so obviously the upgrade install on the live sever did work properly.

If you have any ideas of what could be causing the problem, it would be much appreciated.

Hi. I've got a small problem. When adding new lines in the order edit screen, if any of the products contains an "&" symbol, it deletes all the text from the "&" symbol onwards.

The problem only occurs once you add another line following the one that contains the "&" symbol.

For example, we sell a brand called Sea & Sea, which we use at the beginning of the product names, so we might sell the following:

Sea&Sea DX-GE5 camera and housing +2GB SD card
Sea&Sea RDX-600 housing w/ standard port
Sea&Sea Diffuser for YS110/110alpha

But it will end up looking like:

Sea
Sea
Sea&Sea Diffuser for YS110/110alpha

Ah never mind. I was being silly and thought all the language files for vm_invoice lived inside administrator/languages. I now realise that there is another language file located in the main joomla folder /languages

Hi, I'm trying to change the text used with the tag {invoice_number}.

It currently displays as: INVOICE xxxx and I'd like to to say RECEIPT xxxx instead.

It doesn't seem to be controlled by the language files so I guess it's in the PHP somewhere, though I can't find it. If you could point me towards the file it's located in, it would be most appreciated.

Hi, I've solved my problem.

We were running an apache mod call mod_evasive20. It's designed to stop DoS attacks.

It was stopping the fast Ajax requests. I've disabled the mod and our product lookup search now works nicely.

Hi. On our live server, when I try to add a product in edit view by typing it's name, I keep getting a popup box that says "send failed". However if I type very slowly, there is no problem. I can still add the products and create an invoice.

My java console adds a message each error saying something like:

GET camerasunderwater.co.uk/administrator/in...am=06601341997738928) 403 (Forbidden)

Our test server has no problem.

Any help would would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. Thanks for the fix regarding the payment problem.

As for the shipping address issue:

If the delivery address is set as the default address by the customer, when you go into edit mode, all the boxes to do with shipping in the bottom right of the page are blank. Clicking save then puts the blank entires into the vm database, overwriting the original entires, which would have been identical to the billing address to begin with.

If the shipping address is not set as the default address then there is no problem. The correct address displays.

Hi. We've got a major problem with the vm invoice module.

Under invoice/order management, if I click the edit button on any order, then save it, the creditcard / paypal information is removed from the virtuemart database.

Also, if the delivery address is the same as the invoice address, this is also removed from the virtuemart database.

Hello, one more quick question. Using tags, is there a way to skip the line if it contains no information?

For example, if the customer never entered data into address 2:

{shipping_address_1}
{shipping_address_2}
{shipping_city}
{shipping_zip}

The invoice address might look like:

48 Liverpool Street

London
EC2M 7NX

rather than:

48 Liverpool Street
London
EC2M 7NX

Hi, I've been struggling to get the correct address order / format. Elsewhere in this forum I discovered the following suggestion:

{shipping_company}
{shipping_first_name} {shipping_middle_name} {shipping_last_name}
{shipping_address_1} {shipping_address_2}
{shipping_zip} {shipping_city}
{shipping_country}

This gives me the correct results except that {shipping_country} displays the country code rather than the country name. Can anyone help me display the actual country name?
