Yes - I have everything configured correctly. I have been using Joomsef with Sobipro for 3 years and am VERY familiar with how it is all supposed to work. Unfortunately with this configuration:
Joomla - 3.2.0
Sobipro - 1.1.3
Joomsef sobipro extension 3.0.5

The Sobipro plugin for Joomsef is not doing what it is supposed to do.

The meta tags are working fine for my K2 pages - but not for my Sobipro pages

I tried adding the meta tag - noindex, follow - to some of my Sobipro Urls and it does not work. Now I have hundreds of pages indexed in google that I do not want indexed.


How do I fix these problems?

Seriously guys! Your support SUCKS! You haven't updated the Sobipro component in almost a year and it DOES NOT WORK. But you are still selling it and telling people you support Sobipro - which you do not.

I see so many negative comments about your company on the web. If you want to stay in business I suggest you start treating your customers a little better.

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately none of your suggestions do anything to fix my issue.

1. I don't want to use "Remove Trailing Slash" as I have thousands of links coming into my site with the urls that have a trailing slash on them - changing to no trailing slash would diminish the value of all these links for SEO Purpses. Also, from what I understand, the proper format for a directory is to have a trailing slash whereas files DO NOT have a trailing slash.

2. I have looked into using mod_rewrite - the problem is that it will add a trailing slash to ALL files which I don't want either) as I mentioned above, I don't want trailing slashes on my files - only on my directories)

3. I would be more than happy to pay for your support if I thought it would fix my problem. But it doesn't sound like you have a viable solution at this point.

So, it seems my only choice is to wait for you to fix the component or switch to a new SEF Component (which would be a real bummer at this point)

As a long time happy user, I would hope this fix is something you would give top priority. Right now your component is creating duplicate content - which is terrible if a site wishes to rank in the search engines, which is half the reason to use SEF URL's in the first place.

Yeah - that is what I've been trying. When I use that redirect I get an Internal Server Error and the url in my browser looks like this:

www.internationallovescout.com/gallery/african/benin////////

I meant to write:

redirect 301 /gallery/african/benin www.internationallovescout.com/gallery/african/benin/

It does not work.

I don't understand what you mean by:

For the third way, make sure there's also the "" part present in redirected URL.

So, is there a work around - google webmaster tools is show the slash and non slash as duplicate content. That's really bad for my search engine rankings.

I am trying to redirect the non trailing slash version of my url to the version with a slash, but I can't seem to get it working.

I have tried 3 different ways:

1. Using the "Alias" feature - I put this in there:
gallery/african/benin

This worked when I was using Joomsef 3 and joomla 1.5 - but when I upgraded my site to Joomla 2.5 and Joomsef 4 it stopped working.

2. I tried an internal 302 redirect

Moved from URL - gallery/african/benin
Moved to URL - gallery/african/benin/

That doesn't work either. The "Last Used" shows "never"
I do have other internal 301 redirects that are working

3. I tried doing a 301 redirect in my .htaccess
redirect 301 /gallery/african/benin www.internationallovescout.com/gallery/african/benin/

And that gave me an Internal Server Error.

Any idea what's going on here?

Joomsef 4.2.7 is creating many extraneous pages for pagination on my SobiPro Install.

If you look at - www.internationallovescout.com/gallery

You will see that there are 38 pages - but Joomsef is generating 120 urls. (see screenshot - screencast.com/t/i8Ng9olx)

The same thing is happening for all of my categories in SobiPro. Many extra pages, that do not exist, are being created.

When I delete them they just come right back.

Any Ideas what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

I'm having trouble with duplicate urls. Here is what the url should look like:

ilsimg.com/gallery/russian-and-euro/ukraine/sexy-skydiver

Where gallery is the component, russian-and-euro is a category and Ukraine is a subcaegory.

But Joomsef is also creating the duplicate url:
ilsimg.com/gallery/russian-and-euro/sexy-skydiver

This is because the entry appears on both the "Russian and Euro" page and on the "Ukraine" page.

How do I stop this from happening?

I have a problem with duplicate URLs on my SobiPro listings.

Here are my spec:
Joomla 2.5.4
SobiPro 1.7
Joomsef 4.2.6 (with SobiPro plugin)
The SobiPro SEF Router is installed

My SobiPro section is called "Gallery"

Here is what the URL Should look like:

Here is the non-sef version:

This entry is also in a sub-category called "Cute & Sweet" which is in the category "Archetypes" - here is what happens when I click on the entry from within that category:

I don't think I have ever got a reply from anyone at your tech support. You do realize that I will NEVER purchase an Artio product ever again as long as I live, right?

I've read all the posts EVERYWHERE about Joomsef and Duplicate URLs and nothing has helped. Here are my two non-sef urls:

This one is right
index.php?option=com_sobi2&catid=30&sobi2Id=639&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&Itemid=269

This one is wrong
index.php?option=com_sobi2&catid=1&sobi2Id=639&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&Itemid=269

And they both return the following URL:

gallery/latin/brazil/spicy-brazil-girl

Unfortunately, joomla decides to use the wrong one.

When I delete the incorrect one - joomla will not use the correct one - it returns a 404 instead. I have to unpublish the Sobi2 entry then republish it. Then the incorrect one is used again.

I will be creating many of these entries so I want to get this figured out.

Is there any way I can stop Joomsef from generating the catid=1

I really want to switch from sh404sef to Joomsef - but I have 300 urls with custom titles and meta that I have created in sh404sef.

I exported my urls from sh404sef then I tried to import them into Joomsef using the import feature in "manage custom urls" and in "manage sef urls" but it doesn't work.

I get the following error:

I'm having a similar problem with Joomsef 3.0 running on Joomla 1.52. But my title in browser is showing "Category title+page Title" and the problem only occurs in category/blogs. Everything is fine when I'm displaying a section/blog or an article.

I paid for the 3 month membership - downloaded and installed JoomSEF. Question is, how can I tell if it's the commercial version or free version that I installed - they both look the same. I want to make sure that there is no spam going into my meta tags. It's my understanding that there is no spam in the commercial version.

I checked the \"use title alias\" radio button in configuration - but my URLs are still using the full title. What am I doing wrong?
