I noticed that my configure file in administrator/components/com_sef/ config.sef.php is writable in the JoomSEF Control Panel. But the file is set for 644. Any reason for this to occur? And how can it be fixed?

Anyone have any other suggestions? I still can't get any 404 errors. Any time I type in a page that does not exist, it redirects me to the \"Required Membership\" page.

thanks for the response. I am using the most current version 2.0.

It wasn't working in version 1.5 nor is it working with the new version. I'm not sure if there's a setting I'm not seeing or if I need to add something to my .htaccess file.

Any help is appreciated.

I have JoomSEF installed on two sites and want to incorporate Google Webmaster tools. But I can not do this because when I type a wrong url on my site it returns a code 200, the 404 does not work.

the website is www.southerncaliforniaweddingphotography.com/index.php

If you type in a wrong page, you don't get a 404 error. IT just says membership required (I have AEC Subscription Installed), but that doesn't matter because on another site, www.alynstafford.com, I don't have AEC installed and I get the same problem, no 404 eroor.

How can I fix this so I can add Googel webmasters tools?
