I have two questions.
1- I didnt understand how to create .htaccess file. Can you someone explain to me, please?
2- Once I created, do i need to copy and paste the code which is given on this pdf document?

Thanks!

Hi,

1.) I think that you don´t create .htaccess file. It will be in joomla root directory on your server.

2.) Yes, the content of the .htaccess file have to be same as in documentation. If you go according the installation guide .htaccess file will has the right content and you don´t have to care about it.

Hi,

in most cases, the JoomSEF installer will create an .htaccess file itself.

Just in case when that is not possible (e.g. because of permission settings), you may need to do this manually.
In that case, all what you need to do is:
  1. Rename the htaccess.txt file that is preinstalled in your Joomla site root to .htaccess (rename or copy)
  2. Edit it and uncomment the necessary lines (this applies to Joomla 1.0.x, in 1.5.x the lines should be already uncommented); anyway read and follow the instructions in the file self
