I need to insert a text if an added custom field is blank.

Is there a way to do this? Any suggestion will be appreciated :)

well this is a logic, that would need to be coded in the component. There is no easy way to configure such thing generally, so there is nothing like that possible at the moment.
So of course it is possible, but at a cost of adjusting the source code of the component.
Or it could also be realized as custom made plugin, that would look for this and enter the text e.g. to note field. That would be probably better, as you would not have to change the component sources and thus would prevent problems with upgrading to newer versions in future.

If you would be interested, we can implement such modification for you. Or, as the component is open source - you are of course free to do it yourself.

should be great if I can use a SQL DECODE command during extraction of extra_extra_field_1 field.

So if the field is blank I can decode with the text I need, in other case the field value will be displayed.
